Following the kayaking, came the lightning. I don’t often take landscapes so this was just mucking around, since I had the tripod in the car.
Arlo chanted “Lightning come, lightning come, lightning come for everyone” to encourage the lightning to strike clearly while I had the shutter open. It seemed to work. When the front finally hit, we legged it to our friend Larry’s house to catch up with him and wait out what ended up being a light hailstorm.
